overview
EBNT seeks energy storage technologies with the capacity to store utility-scale energy for days to weeks at a cost that is commercially viable. This objective permits the use of Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES), Liquid Air Energy Storage (LAES), and Molten Salt Energy Storage (MOSAS).
Our selection of technology is dependent on the requirements of the Off-Taker (s) for the site they are used on. Each technology has its own strengths and weaknesses and the tradeoff between duration, costs, and discharge rates are the drivers we use to determine which technology best meets our Off-Taker’s needs.
